Aiden's growing up

This morning, I heard scrapping sounds in the kitchen. I decided that I should probably check to see what my little son thought he was up to. I walk in to find that he has dragged in his little table and pulled it up close to the counter. He had climbed up on the table so that he could reach the counter. He pulled his baby formula tin over and was grabbing a baby bottle! Apparently, he figured that he'd seen mama make his bottles, so he could do it too!! Needless to say, I got a good laugh and then made him a bottle.

Aiden and the balloon lady

When we were in San Antonio about a month ago, we saw a lady making balloon figures at the restaurant at which we were eating. We couldn't get her to come over and make one for Aiden. She was too busy going to the tables that had more children then ours. We were disappointed, but didn't really think much about it after that.
So, today we went to IHOP for lunch. And lo and behold, there's another lady making balloon figures for the patrons. We managed to catch this lady and she made Aiden a cute little orange balloon tiger. She was young and pretty which Aiden loved! He loves pretty girls. He proceeded to watch her even as she moved away!!

Aiden at lunch

I've been enjoying using my new camcorder. It fits into my purse so that it's available to use on the everyday events. So, here's another Aiden video.

Aiden meeting a horse video 2

Aiden meeting a horse

Olen has been working a lot of overtime lately. Aiden and I tagged along one evening to spend some time with him. We ended up at one water plant that is in the middle of a pasture. So, we got out and introduced Aiden to his first horse. The horse was beautiful and was well-behaved. It was a very pleasant evening.

Catching Up

Alright, I know it's been a while since I really blogged. I figured that I would catch up today. Let's see, I've already told you about our lovely Easter. I just love when a holiday goes perfectly lovely! Well, let's see, what's been going on? Mom and I took Aiden to see his Great-Grandma Iva in San Antonio. That was a nice trip. Grandma found a bike for Aiden. He thought that it was great fun to be pushed around on the bike. The next weekend, Olen and I went to New Orleans to take pictures for Somebody Cares. They were having a work week and summit to assist the New Orleans Dream Center. It's a three story building next to downtown. It still has a lot of the 1920s art deco touches in there. It's a beautiful building. It'll be even better when they finish restoring it. They're doing so much for their local community. They even set up medical and dental clinics. We also got to go to the opening of a skate park in the middle of the most affected region there. That was fun! In all, it was a very good weekend. Olen and I got to have some time alone together for the first time in a while. And that's always good! Aiden got to have a blast with his grandparents all weekend. My mom was more than ready to give him back at the end of the weekend. He can be a bit active!!! The following weekend was Easter which you've all heard about. Another weekend I went with the girls on a wine tour of this part of Texas. The bluebonnets were out and beautiful. We spent time discussing whether they were darker this year or not. This past weekend I went to San Marcos with the 6 Pop-a-Wheelie Chix. We shopped 'til we literally dropped. We only half-filled the 12 passenger van we rented. I think we need to do more shopping!! Well, I guess that's the highlights from around here. Take care, stop and take photos of the flowers, and we'll catch up with you later!
